CNC Derby Car [Course Project]

For this project I learned to use a manual mill and lathe as well as a CNC mill. For the black Delrin cab part of the car. I learned to use GD&T to create quality drawings and then using those drawings my team members and I machined all of the parts shown in the pictures to assemble a final car. There are tapped features, pockets, press fits, clearance and bushing holes, used in the project. The tolerances are ±0.005 inches. The main body was made of 6061 aluminum, the axles are made from a mild steel and the black plastic parts are made of Delrin.
